I am Sruthi, and I live with my husband and 5-year old in Wilsonville. I have a Masters in Physics, Masters and PhD in Electrical Engineering, and love learning and teaching math and science. I have a big passion to educate and inspire young minds to inculcate a lifelong habit of critical thinking and scientific temperament. I worked in the semiconductor industry in research, technology development and manufacturing for the past 9 years, and I quit to transition into a tutoring and teaching career.
I have been tutoring with a nonprofit called IRCO (Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization) for the past year. I love the challenge of differentiating my teaching methods for each student, building up their confidence with positive reinforcement and helping them achieve academic success.
I am currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program to work towards certification and licensure in Spring 2022, and hope to teach high school science and math.
